This is the year we have decided to mix it up and switch blogs. Since Lucy is technically old enough to write her own blog, I guess it is time she steps up to the plate and helps document our family memories!
We’ve had such a wonderful holiday season in 2019 so we’ll share a few highlights. We hosted Thanksgiving and are so grateful our St. Louis family traveled in again this year. We enjoyed time together and especially the chance to celebrate Grami’s birthday at the Japenese steakhouse! We also found time to visit Santa and fill him on our Christmas lists. Blake asked for a Lego Ferrari set and I asked for Perler beads and Aaron’s Putty. Pretty easy going kids over here! 🙂
After Thanksgiving wrapped up, Mom and Dad threw their Christmas party. It was a great success and the next morning we woke up to a beautiful snowy day – almost 7 inches! The following weekend we began a new tradition. We celebrated a Christmas day with just the four of us. We went to mass at the Cathedral downtown, walked through Union Station, and had dinner at Lidia’s. We capped the night off with family game night by the fire. Life doesn’t get much better than this!
Once the Christmas season kicked off it was wonderful! A year with no one being sick, everyone giving way too many gifts, and lots of family time.
